one hundred percent

 

I’d expect an irregular stone
polished smooth by all these years
of clenched teeth and held tongues
 

all that passion like copper
turning the turquoise blue
 

I’d hold it in my hand
backed with unsung songs
and the static of memory
 

it slips through my fingers like a radio dial

      I was looking up things randomly on wikipedia; this came from the definition of turquoise. I actually do a lot of writing that way. the facts behind a thing can be intriguing…
